"Whirl Til You Hurl I" Roller Coaster Marathon, Summer 1997
The Rules: Star 100.7 Contestants rode the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster from 7:00 a.m. until Midnight everyday. They were allowed 10 minute breaks every 3 hours. They were also allowed one 30- minute break in the morning before beginning the day and one 30- minute break in the evening after they completed their rides for the day. All contestants had to sleep in the Roller Coaster at night while the train sat in the station house. They were not allowed any pillows or blankets.
On June 20, 1997, 22 Star 100.7 Contestants started to ride the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster. The last remaining contestant would win a brand new car. On July 1, 1997, 11 days after the contest started, three contestants remained. Star 100.7 decided to give all three contestants cars.
