Whirl Til You Hurl II
The Rules: Star 100.7 Contestants rode the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster from 7:00 a.m. until Midnight everyday. They were allowed 10 minute breaks every 3 hours. They were also allowed one 30- minute break in the morning before beginning the day and one 30- minute break in the evening after they completed their rides for the day. All contestants had to sleep in the Roller Coaster at night while the train sat in the station house. They were not allowed any pillows or blankets.
In 1999, the Marathon was on again. This time the stakes were much higher. The winner would receive $50,000.00 cash. Star 100.7 told contestants that they would not be giving away more than one prize this time. If there were more than one rider remaining after Labor Day, contestants would have to split the money. 5 contestants remained after 70 days and over 18,000 rides. Each contestant received $12,500.00 and a trip for two to Hawaii.
