| In
1999, the Marathon was on again. This time the stakes were much
higher. The winner would receive $50,000.00 cash. Star 100.7 told
contestants that they would not be giving away more than one prize
this time. If there were more than one rider remaining after Labor
Day, contestants would have to split the money. 5 contestants remained
after 70 days and over 18,000 rides. Each contestant received $12,500.00
and a trip for two to Hawaii. |
